The "Antaeus’ station" map

The “Antaeus’ station” sector used to be a pinnacle of industrial development of the lunar space. The complex built on the stable orbit around the Moon was providing a continuous supply of resources, making it a key link in the chain of the extraterrestrial production cycle.
But an attempt to speed up the resource extraction led to a catastrophe. Experimental thermal treatment of unstable asteroids triggered a chain reaction that destroyed two large interplanetary objects, which led to the emergence of an anomalous zone later called the Thermal Fracture.
Evacuation of the zone was conducted amid navigation failures and power outages: dozens of ships collided, and security systems arbitrarily opened fire.
Map structure and key zones
The location is an orbital mining complex in the vicinity of the Moon in the solar system. The sector is classified as an industrial hazardous zone with elevated risks to navigation and equipment operation.
Orbital station
The orbital station serves as the central logistics and coordination hub for the mining complex in lunar orbit, and it is also the primary point of interest on the map. It consists of three hexagonal modules. Any attempt at intrusion is quickly detected by security systems, which promptly deliver an overwhelming response. Each module is guarded by rocket defenders and turrets and contains extremely valuable resources.
Metal cluster
An area of standard industrial mining of asteroids with metal veins. The ore in this sector is not of the high-energy type and was used for the basic production of structural materials.
Mining coordination stations and ore reception and primary collection hubs are located on the asteroids. The infrastructure is partially shut down, but a significant portion of the facilities remains intact.
Among the large objects, one can find both small asteroids rich in metallic ore and valuable space debris.
Industrial cluster
The primary zone for the active mining of asteroids rich in red ore.
It consists of a group of objects with industrial infrastructure deployed directly in orbital space. Mining was conducted remotely using autonomous units and remote control from the L-6 station.
Operations were halted following a series of incidents related to the structural instability of certain asteroids and the risk of thermal reactions. Although mining is no longer at the same scale as before, efforts to preserve the collected and processed resources continue, and the cluster is therefore guarded by sentinel ships.
Undeveloped area
Development was not initiated in this area due to the results of a geophysical analysis, which indicated an unstable internal structure of the formations and a risk of uncontrolled thermal reactions.
Following the accident in the Thermal Fracture zone, the area was officially excluded from the development program. There is no infrastructure in place, but automated drilling ships sometimes venture into the sector.
Thermal Fracture
Two large asteroids that underwent experimental thermal processing to accelerate ore extraction.
As a result of the internal structure overheating, both bodies split into two pieces. The following phenomena are observed between the fragments:
- emissions of molten material;
- intense radiation;
- streams of high-energy particles.
Passing between the pieces causes damage to the ship’s systems.
Loot available in the sector
The “Antaeus’ station” sector offers a wide range of resources, from basic materials to high-tech components. However, the value of your loot depends directly on how far you’re willing to venture into the complex’s dangerous zones.
The rarest and most technologically advanced elements are concentrated in the station’s central structures, while the peripheral zones are suitable for safer but less profitable collection.
There are various sources of loot in the sector:
- storage and technical modules of the orbital station;
- surviving industrial infrastructure;
- asteroids containing various types of ore;
- shipwrecks and crash sites;
- autonomous drilling rigs and their storage units.
The allocation of resources by zone follows the complex’s industrial logic:
- The Orbital station offers high-tech components and scientific equipment;
- The Industrial cluster has energy resources and materials for military production;
- The Metal cluster contains basic resources and structural metals;
- The Undeveloped area is rich in mixed loot with unpredictable results.
You can find rare loot anywhere in the sector, but it often comes with risks, whether that’s active defense systems, unstable zones, or competition from other wanderers.
Possible opponents
The sector features a semi-autonomous industrial ecosystem that responds to the actions of wanderers.
In the sector, you can encounter:
- Sentinels: standard patrols in the sector;
- Scavengers: agile vessels that collect available resources;
- Drillers: heavy industrial ships;
- Punishers: combat reinforcements for scavengers and drillers;
- Transport ships: combat ships carrying valuable loot;
- Rocket defenders: escort transport ships and guard points of interest;
- Fighters: deployed by transport ships in case of an attack.
Attacking logistic systems will almost certainly lead to an escalation in the sector.
